Student Rules

    •    No gum, food or drink allowed inside the studio with the exception of student water bottles.​​

    •    Please use the restroom before or after class, if possible. ​

    •    No cell phones allowed during class time.

    •    Always listen and be respectful of your instructors, as well as your fellow dancers. ​​

 

Attendance

It is imperative that students attend their respective classes, as tardiness and absences can hold back the class. Please feel free to send us a message through our parent portal or contact your instructor directly if your child will be absent. Classes missed will not be prorated.  

 

Withdrawls

It is our expectation that enrolled students will complete the season. Therefore, no refunds will be issued. Students wishing to withdraw may do so prior to December 1st, 2024 given email notice to info@innovationdanceva.com. At that time, any remaining payments will not be required and your child’s costume will not be ordered. However, if a student decides to discontinue after December 1st, 2024, remainder of yearly tuition will be due immediately and they may keep their costume when it arrives. 

 

Inclement Weather

The studio will not always close for snow or bad weather. If Hanover County Schools are closed, a decision will be made regarding evening classes by 3:00pm and notice will be posted via social media and sent through the parent portal. If classes are cancelled, a make-up class may be scheduled in the spring, if needed, for extra recital practice. 

 

Attire

Appropriate clothing is required for all classes. Students may not wear baggy clothing, jeans, or jewelry. Hair must be pulled back securely away from the face. Attire may be purchased from Ellmans Dance Boutique or online at Discount Dance Supply and Amazon.

• KinderBallet and all ballet/pointe classes- black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Skirts, tutus, wraps, and dance shorts are allowed, no dance or yoga pants unless permitted by instructor. 

• Tap classes- black leotard, pink tights. Skirts, tutus, wraps, and dance shorts are allowed, no dance or yoga pants     unless permitted by instructor. Level 1 and 2 will wear black patent leather tap shoes, all other tap classes will wear black 1.5" heeled tap shoes.

• Lyrical classes- form fitted attire, nude lyrical sandals or footies.

• Jazz classes- black leggings, fitted tank top or t-shirt. Level 1 and 2 will wear nude jazz oxfords. Levels 3 and 4 will wear nude lyrical footies. Adults will wear black jazz sneakers. 

• Hip Hop classes- black leggings, fitted tank top or t-shirt. Level 1 will wear black ballet shoes, Levels 2-4 will wear black "converse" style high top sneakers.

Injuries

Innovation Dance does not carry medical insurance for its students and is not responsible for injuries incurring during classes or performances. Appropriate medical care will be given to injuries if necessary. 

 

2025 Performances

Our Spring Recital will be held in May. Location, Date and Time are TBA. Details to follow.
